We're celebrating 10 years of supporting languages, linguistics and area studies teaching in UKHE. Enter a prize draw to win a free place on one of our events.

The UK’s 24 subject centres began in January 2000. Over the past ten years there have been many highlights. We have developed numerous resources for promoting our subjects including the Languages Box, 700 Reasons for Studying Languages, the Area Studies Project, Why Study Languages?, Discover American Studies’ and ‘Language Unlimited’, a presentation to promote linguistics in schools. We have organised or co-organised over 200 conferences, workshops and seminars, funded hundreds of colleagues to conduct research, develop materials or run workshops. Thousands of colleagues from the UK and beyond have attended our events.
