News summary
The Subject Centre is able to offer a number of travel bursaries of up to £50 for UK based participants at our workshops. In return for the bursary, we request a report on the workshop attended. Travel bursaries will be paid on receipt of a satisfactory report within two weeks of the event.
If you wish to apply for a travel bursary, please complete the form below. There is generally only one bursary available per event. Priority will be given to hourly-paid or part-time members of staff. Please note that the bursary is not granted until you have received a confirming email from the Subject Centre.

Scotland travel fund
This continuing initiative, originally launched by Academy Scotland last academic year, is aimed at enabling staff and students in Scottish HEIs to engage with colleagues from other parts of the UK and to support their institution's priorities and developments in learning and teaching.
The funding may be used to help colleagues attend events organised (or jointly organised) by the Higher Education Academy and its Subject Centre network, that are being run in England, Wales or Northern Ireland. Please note that funding may not be used for events that are being held in Scotland or for events that are being held outside the UK.
In a change from last year, there are no set closing dates for applications. Applications from staff and students in Scotland's 20 HEIs are invited throughout the academic year 2009-10. We will fund up to 30 bursaries to a maximum value of £300 each.
For further information and an application form, please see the Higher Education Academy website.
