About these materials

Above is a menu of learning objects [?]. You can study the learning objects in any order, although we recommend that you study them in the order in which they are presented.

Most of the content is presented through audio recordings. So as well as finding out about a particular academic skills topic, you will also get a lot of practice in listening to people speaking in an academic context.

There are two learning objects which are slightly different from the others. These are: Reflecting on academic speaking and Academic speaking - Further study. Unlike the other objects, there is no inbuilt feedback; they are designed to help you develop your own understanding of the topic of this Unit.
