The text on the right shows the definite article an meaning 'the' followed by a noun beginning with a vowel. To do this exercise you need to remember what happens to a noun beginning with a vowel when the definite article comes before it. If you can't remember, go back to Exercise 2.3, or click on 'Taispeáin dom' after you have had a go. But be careful. Masculine and feminine nouns are treated differently.

In each example, write out the definite article followed by the correct version of the noun.
