After finishing University, Claire worked in retail and the NHS before joining the University. She currently works as an administrator mostly looking after the Routes into Languages national programme.

Biography
I have a BA in primary education which I obtained from University College Chichester in 2001. After leaving University I had various retail positions before joining the NHS in 2001 working as a course administrator running professional courses for senior doctors. I joined the University of Southampton in 2007 where I have continued to be Routes into Languages programme administrator.
My current role is to largely support the Routes into Languages programme. I work closely with all of the regional consortia and national network teams, supporting all aspects of their work. I am responsible for the day to day running’s of the national team, from organising our own national events to processing finances and writing contracts.
Part of my role is to administer the sale of our classroom based resources, arranging deliveries and overseeing the budget.
I also help support some of the work of LLAS, organising conferences and events.

Successful budget management of a £10m programme – which continues to run!
Coordination of several key national events, launch, student ambassador training events, National Spelling Bee competition

Tested the new evaluation system prior to its implementation. Trained and supported other members of the team
